It's actually good that she have a pacifier, if you research Freud's stages of child development, the lack of oral stimulation at a young age can lead to bad habits in the future. No lecture here just sharing info.
Freud is not respected in about 90% of psychology today. Almost everything he came up with has been discredited with the exception of some parts of schema theory (an explanation of why children will call all 4 legged animals dogs until they learn they are cats or deer, etc).
Didn't Freud's own daughter work to discredit most of his theories?
