Today, my husband told me that he can't find his passport. We're supposed to be leaving for Prague in two days. He's known about the trip for months. It was the anniversary vacation that was going to help our frayed relationship. Now my money is going to a hotel in Prague, but I'm not. FML

That's just his way of saying he doesn't love you 'that much'. YDI for not pleasing him more.

asshat maybe he doesn't deserve to be pleasured. his wife was trying to take him on a romantic vacation and he ****** it up.

in the US you can get an emergency rush passport.. costs more but it can be done aren't both GB and the CR part of the EU? you dont need a passport if they are

yes, you do need a passport to enter the CR then to get back to UK. the UK is not in the Schengen Zone, so that means to enter any other country in the zone, you need your passport. once you're in the Zone, travel os easier ans security is minimal. But, bc the UK is not in the Zone, you would most likely need a passport to get home.

Just go down to your nearest passport office, you can get an emergency passport, I think there's an additional fee. It's what my brother had to do once, he was at Luton and had to make a mad rush to get one.

You can get a passport made for you in 1 day in the UK. It'll be a mad rush to try and find a time though. Of course it will be twice as expensive as a regular passport too. Or you can just leave him and go with a friend or something. It'll serve him right tbh. Don't miss out on the fun if he's being an asshole.

I would be enjoying my vacation by myself!

OP, I really wouldn't be complaining, you've got loads of options. 1) Make him get a last minute passport, which is possible although a little costly. 2) Go anyway without him, with a friend or own your own- maybe the time apart will work for you too, to realise how much you need/miss each other when the other isn't there. 3) If you can't get a reasonable refund, try to postpone the flights to a later date and go on holiday then instead? 4) Get the refund that you can, and do something with that money and make the most of it instead of moaning about it. 5) Get off the internet complaining about your husband, invest in some toys and drag him up to the bedroom- make the most of the time you have off work ;-) Also, "vacation" is an American term, you're from the UK, surely it's a "holiday". And you should have known by now that you would have had to check for his passport, it's too much of a resonsibility for the man. But wouldn't you have used the passport to book the flights in the first place?

People are allowed to use whatever words they want to use. I know several Americans who say "holiday" instead of "vacation" so it seems reasonable to assume there would be some Brits who would say "vacation" instead of "holiday."
