Today, my husband told me that he's letting his mother move in with us. He told her it was alright without even consulting me first. I hate my mother-in-law so much that I'm contemplating divorce rather than living with her. FML

I hope you hate her for a good reason, otherwise you're just being irrational. FYL anyway mothers-in-law are such a pain most of the times. :(

if the mother in law is as bad as you say you knew so before marrying your husband. so you shouldn't have married in the first place. but you love him you made vows and, if your mom was out of a place you'd let her move in. sure you would "ask" like all women "ask". baby please. no dear. fine I'm going to pitch a fit and huff until you cave. women ask then manipulate which is no better than just doing something. if you divorce over this you might as well divorce over the toilet seat being up

something tells me that is what he is trying to accomplish here. and if your considering a divorce over his mother moving in then it's probably better that you do get a divorce.

Some mother in laws could be bad enough to cause someone to want a divorce if they were forced to live with them. For instance my grandmother refused to acknowledge my parents wedding because they didn't get married in a catholic church, because my mom isn't catholic. She also sabotaged my mom's relationship with one of my aunts. FYL indeed.
