All of you commenting about snickerdoodles need to remember that she's a 16 year old kid. Some kids do what they can to gain the attention of adults. So to put it simply... she's winning. So conceptually she's peeing on you all and when you engage her you become her property, much like the OP and her boyfriend. Ask yourself is that what you really want... to be peed on by a 16 year old girl?

that could be taken in a variety of ways. you could mean that 'the children' outcast the most worthy leader of them, just as they do to ralph in the book, or that without adult intervention it turns in to complete anarchy and chaos. those were the two that i saw to be most fitting.
