Today, my mom and I went to Winn-Dixie. I told her I was going to a different isle 5 minutes later I hear my name on the intercom to go to the front of the store. As I go I see my mom crying, she comes and hugs me and tells me she thought I was lost. Im 22, I had my cell phone, and I drove there. FML

haha WOW... my parents didn't even do that when i was a kid.. lol.

well if you went to a different "isle", that IS pretty far away and chances are it would have minimal cell phone coverage...

... i think you mean aisle. ahahahhahahaah. wow. your mom sounds like my dad. super over protective, much? i hope you informed her she could've called your phone. parents shouldn't be allowed to act like this once their offspring are over a certain age. cut the umbilical cord already!

lol! that kinda sucks.. but its better than her not caring about you!

I'm 20 and my mother she is practically the same, she get's really worried when it takes her more than 3 seconds to locate me. My mother is also mentally unstable and suffers from bipolar disorder. If your mom is acting like this regularly then she might actually have some mental issues and I would suggest that she see a therapist.

Haha! Amusingly enough, I had an ex-boyfriend do something similar, but it was because he was too lazy to go out to the truck and get his phone and too lazy to walk to the computer section which is where he knew that I was. :-p That was a few years back, though.

I agree with #9. Sounds like alzheimer's.

I know a guy who has a good vocabulary, good handwriting, good spelling, and good grasp of concepts, but he writes the lowercase f backwards. People assume he's retarded or something. He's not. Same thing with the isle/aisle thing, don't make a snap judgment on ne goddamn letter.
