OP, i can understand your problem. I think it's time to describe her about your position and responsibilities at different places, be it home, college or elsewhere. Before a mother, an old man is still a child! But, it's the responsibility of the old man to let his mother learn that he is an old man.
I used to work at a front desk at a dorm. I cant tell you how many frantic phone calls we got from moms because their son wouldnt answer their phone. One even called campus police to report him missing. Kid just didnt want to talk to his overbearing mother!
Yeah I agree the mom took it wayyyyy too far! She definitely should have called once and left a message and waited for a response. Maybe her son is an only child? if she only had him I could see why she would be worried if he didn't respond. Maybe she didn't know he was in class at that exact time? Also....when his mom gets old and passes away....he will be pleading with God to have moments with his mom again. Even crazy ones.
I am starting college in the fall and I actually recently had a nightmare about something very similar because my mom is the exact same way! I also just got back from a trip with my boyfriend and his mom where we didn't have wifi. If I didn't respond to her texts/calls within 5 minutes, she would also text my boyfriend AND his mother and then again every half hour until one of us was able to respond.
Not that I'm on her side. But all you have to do to prevent this is say "love you mom" and if you don't love her then you might need to find a new ride.
Overly attatched mom? It's nice that she cares but that's going a bit too far...
I do not think your Mother has adjusted to her precious baby going to college. My Mother reacted similarly when I moved out. After about a year, she finally stopped crying when someone brought it up. Your Mom will get better in time.
Has anyone else noticed when you go to like someone's profile, it says **** instead?
Dude I'm so sorry. I totally feel you. When I had my yearly review at work they said I was outstanding in everything. The said the only thing I could improve on was keeping my mom from calling all the time.

Oh wow. You would think she would know you can't answer your phone during class. That and she seems rather clingy. Perhaps maybe start finding your own way to college if she's going to continue to do this.
The ****?!??
