Maybe she wants to relive a childhood vacation where she remembers fondly her parents driving from TX to FL? Although, I personally would have chosen to go to Fiji and rented one of the bungalows on stilts right there on the ocean.

You're still getting a vacation. You should have made the arrangements if you wanted specifically to leave the country. It's obviously what your mother wanted. Not everyone wants to leave the country. If you're under age, then what you want isn't really a concern. Be thankful you get a vacation at all. It seems to me that if its your mothers choice where you go on vacation then you aren't in a position to make the arrangements. Stop being ungrateful.

Hey just an idea. if you like videogames take a hand held with you. the nintendo ds and the sony psp have a large library

Not everyone makes the best of choices, but it was her choice unfortunately. Hopefully you will find fun in the southern states.

Haha. That's funny. Maybe she doesn't want to have to learn another language in order to go on vacation. Also don't need passports. You can use US money instread of having to trade it all for whatever currency you'd need. And sometimes driving relaxes people. (:

I would love that :/ you get to stop anytime and take in the view.. Eat at different places and take pictures..meet alot of people.. Sleep anytime and shop more because its cheaper to drive. I think you should look at the positive :)
