Shouldn't denial be the first sign that you DON'T have a problem?
alcoholics anonymous is a program created for people who not only have a problem with alcohol or drugs but also for people who are emotionally and spiritually bankrupt. maybe that's the problem if so try alanon. As for the instructor you spoke about, there are no instructors the experience comes from people sharing what has happend and how they came to sobriety with AA. But for the man or woman leading the meeting who said your in denial. If you expressed to them that you have never drank then they have no right to express that feeling. just wanted to shed some light on people who don't understand what AA is for.
Thank you!!
That is the problem with all "addictions" - one of the signs is always denial, meaning even if you aren't an addict, you have one of the signs... Because you're going to say you aren't one.
the first step is admitting you might have a problem someday in the future after you become addicted to alcohol.
aa is one of the more terrifying and widely accepted cults.
Let me guess, it's all based on propaganda, right? This comment is sarcastic, and I am saying that because some people can't figure that out on their own.
you can get addicted to coffee by going to those meetings as they always have tons of it. act all jittery, hyper, paranoid and excitable when your mom picks you up. tell her you really really need some coffie and overdo it. maybe you can freak her out enough by your new "addiction" that she will drop the whole matter
