Today, my mother-in-law grounded me because I went to the store in the "dangerous" rain. My husband says that if I don't obey then we won't work out. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

Today, my mother asked me if my boyfriend and I were getting serious. I quickly lied and said no. She then informed me that if things ever heated up, she would take me to get birth control. Wanting birth control, I confessed. In turn she grounded me. I'm not allowed to see my boyfriend anymore. FML

Leave him, IMO. That's pathetic. I'm a firm believer that a guy should be allowed to be sensitive and sweet, etc., and that "you're never too old to love your mom", but letting her ground your wife? And threatening divorce if you don't obey? He's not worth it dear. Find yourself a real man.
