Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

@85 : I would never legitimately suggest that, however, she was a fool for letting herself get in this situation, so her judgment is already questionable, as is his, for not standing up for his wife. These are dysfunctional people and we can only hope they practice some sort of Birth control. But hey, if you think I’m wrong, wonderful, I just know this ain’t my first rodeo, and there is no cure for stupid.

#137 is right. I dont understand why people like this get sympathy. If you decide to marry someone, you should probably know them first. And if you choose to marry someone you knew loved his mother more than you and is unable to stand up for you, you are the only one responsible. No one forced you to get married, take responsibility for your own actions.
