Hold on.. Your mother-in-law doesn't know her own son is a graphics designer??
She doesn't understand what it is, and as far as what's been said, there is no Spanish term for "Graphic Designer", nor a way to explain it to her. It's a mix of language barriers, her just becoming old, as well as believing she has the right to do as she pleases, being the Mother and all.
not sure if you meant a translation or not, but graphic designer is dise~nador grafico (don't know how to put the ~ over the n). Since i don't know much about it, i read that: they find the most effective way to get messages across in print and electronic media . That i think, is basically making drawings or designs to advertise. Maybe you can just tell her that. I really doubt it ,but hope this helps.
Wow, I couldn't imagine how pissed off you guys must have been!
Tell her to stay the hell out of ur house or u'll put her in the WORST nursing home in the country.
honestly she should have minded re own business and not touch any of that stuff!
Have a serious talk with her... and then make her do all the house work until your finished all your rough sketches again. I recommend that you do these very slowly..
I don't think there are gay jobs for straight folk. Or if there are, it may be a fairly awkward environment.

Make her pay for that shit. Seriously.
Ah... it finally made it in. The young lady who controls this character account is the OP for this one. It happened a long time ago, but it still riles her up terribly. The locks have since been changed and little miss tidy-up-without-asking is not allowed to have a copy of the keys. Ever.
