Today, my mother thought it would be okay to take my camera and erase all of my pictures that included my graduation, party, and my sisters wedding. Her excuse? "We need more room for Katie's birthday." Katie is our pet cat. FML

Today, my mom found a box full of stuff she had been looking for. She started going through it and found baby pictures of my sister and me, as well as pictures of the cats. She put my baby pictures back in the box and closed the lid. The cat pictures are now hanging in her living room. FML

Today, my parents dropped by my new house, and my mother offered to tidy up for me while I was out. After they left, I noticed that her "tidying up" included throwing out all the pictures of my girlfriend and replacing them with pictures of herself. FML

They are recoverable so long as she hasn't taken the pictures of "Katie" yet. Swap out the memory card for a new one and hold onto the memory card with the deleted pictures in them. Then find a Computer Tech who can recover deleted data from computers, flash drives, and memory cards. It won't be cheap ... but you could always send your mother the bill once you recover them.

As everyone else has already stated. YDI for not backing up your photos. Digital cards are meant to be used over and over again. Make it a habit to download the photos off your card every time you take pictures.

you really should download any important photos but by the same token your mother should not delete photos from a camera that is clearly not hers!!!! And she wants to take photos of her cat, go buy a cheap camera.

FFS, can we please stop these "My mom loves my pet more then me" FML's...seriously gettin old. Stop using cats if anything...make it a raccoon or a bat. It is a BIT more original.
