You're a moron, she has a point. If you wanted to protect her, maybe you should have tried to stop her from getting into her car. Offered to go and do whatever she was going to do, or drive her there. Clearly you were free to get into your car and follow so you werent busy. She has a valid point, your actions show that you were trying to get your mom arrested, not trying to protect her... so welllll obviously! you deserve it!
The hell I would get into a car with someone looped on sleeping pills!
I posted this above as well but Perhaps it was something like this: 1. Mom takes a bunch of sleeping pills and heads off to her room 2. OP heads to their own room or somewhere similar 3. OP hears a door open and close and makes it to a window just in time to see mom pulling out of the driveway. 4. OP runs for their own car and follows mom.
and also, OP's mom could just be physically bigger and stronger, and could've easily pushed or shoved him out the way.
Is your mom depressed? Was that a plan, or a cry for help or something, or just a moment where reason slipped her mind? Because really, "you're trying to get me arrested" - that sounds like the kind of logic someone depressed would use. She needs help, and she's irrationally angry with you. Even though she is upset with you, you did the right thing.
I know theres a lot of thing you can't do about your mom, because she's your mom. You might of saved her life and someone else's by calling 911. If you really loves you, she'll talk to you, but dang, she needs professional help. Otherwise, if you have money move on, no offense, you will be doing yourself a favor
You did the right thing, OP. You might have saved lives.
Well, you *were* trying to get her arrested. What did you think would happen? It was out of concern; you'd rather have her arrested than dead. But maybe say something before she leaves the house next time. Maybe warn her that you're going to follow her if she does. Or hell, just offer to give her a ride.
