Today, a friend posted the Facebook status "Ahhh... relief." Trying to be funny, I replied "Why? Did you just poop?" A few hours later, I read her previous posts and found out her dad's in the hospital having heart surgery. Now everyone thinks I'm a heartless dick. FML

Today, I found out my mom had a miscarriage before I was born. I had no idea about this, and the reason I found out was that she posted it on Facebook, where I'm friends with her. She feels fine posting about this to complete strangers but not talking to me about it? FML

That sucks - just untag yourself, although the damage may have been done. I think there's a setting somewhere that allows you to approve tags before they are posted. I've got it on my account and my friends' that won't post until I approve. But that doesn't stop them from tagging me in their comments.
