You can't blame the school for it. You brought an expensive item to school that others may easily get jealous of and want to steal. Did you even have a lock on your locker? Did you attempt to hide it? Had it really been stolen, it would've been partially your fault, and partially the theif's. The school wouldn't have been at fault. They can't watch over everyone's locker while you are away. You also should have checked your locker better. YDI
So was it found in your previous school or the new private school?
This is an FYL for your school's secretary. How is it her fault that you were dumb enough to leave your iPhone in your locker? I hate parents who punish other people for their own child's stupidity.
OP, YDI for several reasons. 1, for not bothering to check your locker properly for it; 2, for making such a fuss about it; 3, for having your phone in your locker in school (many schools in the UK ban phones completely [making it your responsibility if it's lost/stolen, not theirs] and even if they don't, leaving a phone in a locker is stupid unless you really have to (which, in school implies it shouldn't be there) and 4, having an iPhone in school, that's just asking for trouble, if you have to take one, take a phone you don't mind losing.
Why this is a YDI: 1. You didn't see where you left it and assumed it was stolen without checking your entire locker 2. Your mom spoiled you by blaming the school 3. She was going to take you OUT of school just because your phone went missing. That's a fail on you and your mom's fault.
So, what's the problem? Ask you parents for a new iphone, sell it on evay and you are set: still have the phone, some pocket mobey and a better school (hopefully).
Spoiled brats like you piss me off. Like it's the secretary's fault your privileged ass left something expensive in your locker. If you don't need it at school, don't take it to school. I'm sorry it wasn't stolen.
