@all of the comments immediately followin #1: it was pretty obvious that they were kidding, you should really lighten up! OP,it's no big deal, just try to find it. At least your son is thoughtful, that's a really useful quality. And unfortunately it seems like not enough of the world is thoughtful anymore.

Perhaps next time you'll say that your phone battery was depleted, or something like that. Around children you need to watch your wording, in this sense death is used as a slang term and the child wouldn't know that.
