Today, my puppy went missing. I found him, unconscious but thankfully alive, in a taped-up box with no holes. My little brother eventually confessed to doing it because he wanted to sell my puppy on eBay. FML

I think it may be time to teach your little brother how to treat animals. Depending on his age he may not realize why that was a bad idea.

that's bullshit. age is no excuse. when kids kill people, they get tried as adults under sensible juries. murdering an animal should be punished more harshly, not less. there's never a justification to kill a pet the way there is with a human. they're incapable of deserving it. it's not a like a dog could burn down your house or cheat on you.

42, so if I lock someone in a box, I won't be charged with abuse/endangerment? Good to know...smh. How far would be far enough? He deprived the dog of oxygen, if you do this to a human it is attempted murder, so I'm thinking it is attempted murder in this case too.
