Today, my roommate got mad at me for putting away the tampons that were sitting on her desk. She rebelled by hanging hundreds of tampons dyed red from every surface in our dorm room. I discovered this while giving my mom her first tour of the place. FML

Maybe OP was putting the tampons away because her mom was coming to visit? You seem like a feminist, oh and the "girls use tampons... get over it" part, OP is a girl I think she would know girls use tampons.

Op's overreacted? Really?! She might have just moved them like a couple of inches away in a drawer to make it look cleaner, not cause she wanted to hide them from her mom. And even if the roommate didn't want her to move her stuff, putting tampons everywhere knowing her moms coming is really stupid and dramatic.

so... OPs psychotic because she put tampons away in a drawer. and her op isn't but she hung hundreds of tampons dyed red around the room? wtf is going in in your head??

I'm gonna do that to my parents room lol that would be awesome

We only have one side of the story and there's no need to call the roommate names; I'm pretty sure none of you actually met said roommate. And again with the "it's not a big deal to touch other people's stuff/ yes it is" debate! When will you people learn that SOME people just don't like it when others touch or move their stuff?! SOME people, on the other hand, don't see the big deal and just do pretty much whatever they want. Personally, I hate it when someone touches my stuff, moves it or uses it. It's, in my eyes, an invasion of privacy and it's comparable to coming back home to find your roommate (or a family member, for that matter) in your room, helping himself/herself to whatever they want/need. But that's my opinion and I know some people don't see the harm in coming into someone's home and touching everything they see. Why can't these people accept that?! From my experiences, whenever this whole debate comes up, it's because of all of the intolerant and (to me) childish "That's just overreacting" "She's such a bitch" "What a psycho" etc.. The roommate seems to be overreacting because of the way the story is told; in a few words, with very little detail and no background. For all we know, OP's a pain in the ass and keeps moving/taking her/his roommate's stuff! Maybe the roommate just got sick of having the same disussion (if there ever was a actual discussion) over and over again, having to explain that she doesn't like it when OP touches her stuff etc... and showed OP in a big, rather creepy and pretty discusting fashion that she was now going to take action. Why do you people have to judge and hate complete strangers so much?! But I agree, having red tampons hanging all over the place sucks.
