Today, my siblings came home for the weekend. At dinner, my dad started complaining at how one of my siblings had gotten fired, one was failing college, and the other was gay. He went on to say I was 17 and already had a bright future. I'm pregnant. FML

Your Dad's a bit of an ass isn't he? One of his kids being gay shouldn't be a problem. I agree with whoever said it's probably not his kid's fault for getting fired. Failing school can be changed. But unless you want to get an abortion, you're... pretty screwed I guess. Though not indefinitely.

Woah, FYF(amily). That being said, all you have to do is look at the grammar on this blog post to see that the education system across America is failing. (#7 If I 'fell' pregnant (like a disease or something), #13 you're future, #24 shure has to suck, #40 (this one is great) Come of it!, #43 (English must be his/her 2nd language). 1st POINT: Spell Check is a wonderful and useful thing, but it doesn't help if you're (#13, you are) an idiot to begin with. 2nd POINT: A baby is what is birthed, born, and/or removed from it's mother. Before that point it's called a fetus. While it is a fetus, it is completely and utterly dependent on the female host for it's nutrients, oxygen, and waste removal. There is absolutely no benefit to the female during this occupational period. Definition (From Wikipedia): Parasitism is a type of symbiotic relationship between two different organisms where one organism, the parasite, takes from the host, sometimes for a prolonged time. Please note that I'm not saying that a fetus is a Parasite. My wife is pregnant (note: none of this new aged bullshit about how "we're pregnant") and I couldn't be more excited about having a baby. What I'm saying is that a woman should, and does, have every human right to do unto herself whatever she wishes. Take it or leave it, my humble opinion.

#64: There are plenty more kids in foster homes than there are couples to adopt them. Giving it up for adoption isn't really a good option. As for her needing to be mature enough to handle the consequences, at her age abortion is the most mature way to handle a pregnancy. OP: I clicked YDI because you're 17 and STILL pregnant.
