Today, my step-brother said to me, "If we weren't related I would fuck you so hard." Mom says I should "be grateful for such a nice compliment." FML

Boundaries exist for a reason. You need to set both him and your mom straight.

Why the **** do half of the commenters think this is okay?

Most families are more subtle in telling you it's time to move out...

It's only really creepy if you were raised together. I knew a woman who was dating a boy who turned out to be her moms boyfriends son. Parents got married, they continued to date but were step siblings. They had a kid together. They didn't view it as creepy because they weren't raised together and had started dating before hand.

#2, How do you know OP is pretty? Do you know what she looks like? Just because OP's step-brother said that doesn't constitute an automatic beauty correlation. OP's step-brother may have said that out of horniness to the fact that perhaps she's the closest female in age to him that conveniently lives under the same roof.

Sounds like your mom might be interested in a little family get together. I would sleep with my door locked and a knife.

You have to wonder what she'd class as an insult.

if it's a step-brother that has the same mum or dad then that's just creepy! but if it's a step-brother because your mum or dad got a new partner, then technically youse aren't related at all, not one bit. so it's not really that bad.

Stepbrother and half-brother are two different things. Step brother: her mum started a relationship with a guy, let'S call him "op's stepdad" who also had a child from a previous relationship, let's call him, "op's step brother". No biological relationship. Apart from being human (hopefully, otehrwise that would be creepy on many other levels). Half-sibling: Both have one biological parent in common. Still kinda awkward.
