As a college student I know the pain.
okey so to make it clear word has a auto save, but i goes into the ram (Random-access memory) so when the program word dieds the document is some times just fine if you open word again but guess what happens if you shutdown a pc (bye bye stored files inside ram) files are some time invisible in your pc well that is true if you have saved it ones and then had delete that file " then you could use a recovery program like pandora recovery" in the temp folder could be some thing left of you word file but to be fair I do not think so so better make yourself some coffee and start over
Why people dont save, I still dont understand. It takes 2 seconds
It's called saving...
Don't know if anybody's mentioned this yet but...why didn't you save?
Yeah ydi because you should have learned to save your paper more often.
YDI it for not saving your work and for letting your mom use it. Your an idiot op.

I'm not certain why you never saved it once. It just seems like the obvious thing to do. There is a chance that the file still exists on your hard drive if you want to search for it. Some word processors create auto recoveries and backups which are sometimes hidden files.
Hopefully your document has auto save function. Or use EasyRecovery. Good luck!
