Heritable
It appears dim-wittedness is heritable as well
^ What just happened here...?!??! |the kid|
..oh wow!
I think a lot of times kids ask questions without first thinking. I also think the mom posted this because she was shocked at the pure stupidity . I certainly don't think it is the moms fault either. But hey .. What do I know, I'm a teenager lol hang in there mom . We learn more as we get older.... Hopefully.
You might inherit an accent, if you spend too much time in the Animus 2.0, depending on where your ancestors are from.
Such a dumb girl. Did she ever stop and think if one parent had an accent, lets say French or something & the other parental's was Australian, what would be the child's end result? Wait, that's easy.. The child would just inherit both and become a Frenchalian. Yeah, that's it. Makes perfect sense!
Hope she's a looker, OP. Otherwise life's gonna be rough for her. :/
I honestly don't see the FML here. This isn't something that is total common sense, we have no idea how old this kid is, and if you make a few basic observations around you, it's very simple to conclude that perhaps they are heriditary (considering children generally speak with the same accent as their parents) What basically happens here is that a child doubts whether she is correct, asks her parents to help her figure it out, and then is told that she is dumb for wanting to know for sure. If anyone should say "FML" here, it's this child who has a bunch of idiots for parents that are currently teaching her that it's better to not ask and be wrong instead of trying to find out how things work.
Aww, why thumbs downs? Australian accents are awesome, and by the logic of 2, i need to go find an Australian woman.
If she never learnt about accents, or has never sought out information about them, it is not so surprising that she may assume they're hereditary. It's not exactly a common sense thing. Stop being so critical of her... This is why kids are afraid to ask for help, because people act like they're stupid because they're just expected to know something. You can't know something unless you learn it, don't treat her like she's stupid just because she asked a question.
I never ask my mom questions because she, along with all of my teachers, expects me to know everything, so she gets pissed if I ask a question or dø sømething dumb. She thinks that I'm making fun of her, and calling her stupid, for some reason.

I hope stupidity isn't. Or your unborn grand-babies are screwed.
