Today, my wife and I got in a 4-hour heated argument, which resulted in her begging for a divorce, and admitting that she cheated on me. This all started with us arguing about the instructions for our new IKEA table. FML

Those IKEA instructions can be difficult.

Did you end up putting the table together..?

I think it could have been anything...you both had it coming...table just turned out to be a reason...though that's a great advertising idea for IKEA competitors ;)

Yea there was definitely some misplaced anger anything could've caused that fight but at least op knows now rather than later and can start to move on hopefully

Agree...the sooner the better..less wasted time...plus I bet she just really wanted to get it off of her chest

You build the furniture, and we will tear down the disfunction!

Sounds like she was looking for a reason to say it (an out): Unfortunately it was over something small and meaningless.

The Swedish pancake syrup they sell there costs way more than $2.

Well that escalated quickly. (Will Ferrell voice)

Gosh, all of those famous voice-overs in comments lately are getting pretty annoying ! You've got your own voice..******* use it !

Dysfuck... Dafuq... This function, Al.... No, I guess I can't :'(

I believe this is not the first time you two have argued. She might have said what she said in anger just to piss you off. Or, she's just sick and tired of you. If one or both of you can't learn to shut up sometimes or when to retreat, then your marriage is doomed. I wouldn't want to stay in a verbal/psychological abusive relationship anyway. I wish you two the best though.

The truth of her cheating had to come out at some point....

Yet another reason to pay extra for pre-assembled furniture. What you don't know can't hurt you.
