It's good(?) to know that I'm not the only food-aggressive woman in the world. Just remember - it's rude to take food from someone else's plate with out his permission. If the food is offered to you - fine. If you ask and permission is granted - fine. But just grabbing food without so much a a by-your-leave? No. It's rude, and (for reasons unknown to modern man) does cause immediate frothing fury in some people. Though, being violently forked is... over the top, to say the least. Don't do that either - it's just as rude, and tetanus shots are expensive.
