I can see why. They were FRENCH fries! I'm sure they are a source of great national pride and passion over there. If you want to start a fight with a Frenchman, say that you heard that the fries are really Belgian (and then be prepared to get your ass kicked.)

Incredible image. I don't think you exactly deserved to be stabbed with a fork; that's um, rather extreme!! Unless your wife was recently released from prison or pregnant, you must've done something to incite her ire even before you tried to take her precious fries. Get your own damn fries, ya mooch!!

My mom does that too, sometimes. You try to nick something out of the pan while she's still cooking and she fake slaps you, but then she accidentally hits... fork's more painful though, hope your hand's alright!
