You have many kinds of marriage with differents patrimonies. His, Hers and Theirs. Usually, the "automatic" marriage, it that what was yours before marriage stays yours, what was hers stays hers, and what you buy or earn while married goes to "both" (gets split up by half when divorced). You can choose to make everything "theirs" (everything his and hers before marriage transfers and becomes "theirs"), or keep always separate (listed what is hers and what is his, as long as both spend, according to their respective income, a certain amount for the household and kids)

That's just not being responsible and she's a bitch for racking up such a large bill...talk to a lawyer now and I hope you have the income to pay off that bill...credit card debt is a terrible thing. Make her pay the money back or wave divorce papers in her face.

Take all your buddies on an all expenses paid golf outing (or whatever you're into). Redecorate the house, the way YOU want it. Hock her jewerly to pay off the CC bill. Put a good lawyer on retainer and change all the locks.
