Today, on Facebook, my sister posted a ton of photos of herself wearing a skimpy bikini, commenting that she looked hideous and fat. I can't stand attention-seeking fuckballs, so I called her on it. My mother then condemned me for "mocking" my sister, and grounded me for an entire month. FML

You did the right thing. We need to rid of these attention seeking ******.

At least you didn't steal the picture and photo shop it so she really did look hideous & fat...I would've!

I seriously cannot understand how people think these days. You definitely did the right thing, with no doubt.

Did you call her out on Facebook or in real life?

I can't stand people like that either. I'm not the most confident person when it comes to my appearance, but I don't post it all over Facebook. I'm glad you called her on it, personally...

Okay, let me tell you how attention seeking works idiots in the comments. You wear skimpy clothes, and you say your fat and ugly. Everyone will try to comfort you by saying your the exact opposite, so basically they're trying anything for attention.

In the immortal words of Eric Cartman, favoritism can suck my balls.

This is just ridiculous, you were trying to put your sister in her place and show her that it is annoying and self-degrading to post pictures of herself and practically beg for positive comments. Yor mom should realise this if you explain it to her. A month of grounding? Now that is just unrealistic, i was constantly bullied by my brother and he was never grounded for more than a day. Also, should your sister really be putting thos types of picture on FB anyway? I've seen people post group piccture of them in swimsuits because for them it's just another group photo but it sounds like your sister is just in her room taking a bunch of half-naked pics of herself and posting them on the internet for the world to see! your mom should at least reprimand her for that.

Sounds like my little sister. She's always been that way, then she got huge & used meth to lose the weight & wondered why nobody congratulated her on the loss...the only loss she really got is that we don't want her around us anymore...she's been such a disappointment for 18 of her 32 years.

Attention-seeking fuckballs will always be attention-seeking fuckballs, regardless of if you call them on it or not. And btw, calling them on their actions is giving them attention. The best thing you can do for them is ignore it. If no one cares, and everyone dismisses any sort of attention-seeking gimmick, maybe THEN she'll stop. But by calling them on it, they suddenly turn themselves into martyrs... and it'll only get worse.

Ha I did the same exact thing to my sister and got the same response from my mom.
