Today, on the school bus, I rapped on a window in an attempt to get my friend's attention. A guy sitting behind me took this as an opportunity to shove my face into the window, breaking my nose. FML

Stuff like this gets me and angry. I know there is still a feeling of male dominance in the world, have some ******* respect, you don't just hit women, or anyone for that matter, for no reason. That guy was just an asshole, I hope someone taught him a lesson:

rapped is the same thing as tapped people....... -.- Op that sucks you should have punched him and broke his nose

it's really not the same thing. 'tapped' implies a soft drumming of the glass with finger tips. 'rapped' is more like one or a succession of knuckles-connecting hard (& loud) knocks. if the person behind had their head resting against the same pane of glass and it was suddenly rapped by some obnoxiuos shit in front... I'm not saying that I would smash OP's face against the glass... but I understand the impulse.

true, but honestly I think the person knew she was trying to get some ones attention. It isn't not right to do that I mean they broke her nose.

he had a reason. you may not believe it justified, you may believe it to be a massive overeaction and in making that assessment you may only be dealing with the small portion of facts OP chooses to share and maybe there's another side to the story. but the guy HAD a reason. but I agree. hitting women is not on (unless they rap on the window you rest your head against at least once a week even though you've asked them to quit that behaviour time and again... and they ignore, ignore, ignore... I'm just saying... without all the facts, how do we know it wasn't justified?).

Finally people with good grammar! Praise the Lord!

69, There should be a comma after "Finally". :)

In what world is this where guys can now hurt girls for no reason? Sorry, I thought humans were a bit more advanced than that.

we all did dear, the worlds a messed up place simple as that.

I used to get punched by a boy every day on the bus when I was younger.

seems like there WAS a reason. Might not have been 'an equal and opposite reaction', but OP was the catalyst behind her getting a busted nose. morale of the tale? "don't rap on bus windows... the consequences may be severe. " (should be a bumper sticker - yeh?)

In what world have girls always been allowed to hurt guys for no reason?

In what world was anyone allowed to hurt anyone?

where in this FML does it say OP's a girl. assumptions are usually wrong.

It says it at that top on the app. OP listed themselves as a female.

im on the app and it does not say that for me. sorry

129- What app do you have?? lol

I'm on the app, and it says that OP's female. I guess this calls for a new excuse?

#36 why didn't you punch him back?

I never tried, but I guess anything you want. "Dick" will be fine.

if you put something clever people like you more.

short for nickname. Usually whatever you see fit to accompany the fml. I think. I'm not sure

that is so terrible and so sorry for such a bad experience!!! :(

That's messed up. But probably funny from a passerby's point of view. Lol

When submitting an FML what do you put for "nick"?

Next time you want to rap on a window, just watch your back. Make sure nobody is behind you.
