Today, our airplane was delayed because of issues with the de-ice-ing. Then, because it had too little fuel. Then, because of engine troubles. Then, because our first officer needed to be replaced due to legal restrictions on pilots' hours. Now, I get to go straight from the plane to work. FML

ok you're other alternatives were : crash the wings are too heavy due to ice crash the plane is too heavy due to fuel crash the pilot falls asleep crash due to engine failure so going straight to work is better than not going to work because you're dead

I bet having to go to work after all that stress was just de-ice-ing on de cake, wasn't it?

ydi for not being in the kitchen and scrubbing toilets

Ah, yes. This so called "de-ice-ing" is a bitch.

Thank you for yet another reason for me to avoid planes altogether LOL

That sucks, but I usually tell my work that I will be back at least two days after I'm actually back home from vacation for this reason. This also gives you time to unpack and unwind from your vacation, so you might want to consider doing this in the future...

Yes, very very very bad things happen when there is ice on aircraft wings. Search for videos on YouTube.

I don't believe "fuel being heavy" would be that big of a problem for a plane as much as LACK of fuel. Genius.

46 actually the plane could easily crash during landing from to much fuel if the engine troubles developed mid flight

True, but that doesn't make it suck any less. He could have been axe murdered and raped, but he wasn't. That doesn't mean this is GOOD. ******.

assuming you don't survive to go to work anyway...

That happened with my parents recently on the way back from the US. They had to wait on the plane for two hours after it had landed, and then after waiting three hours for their suitcases, they were finally told that they were still on the plane as the door was frozen. They had to get their cases delivered to them two days later. I hate waiting at airports, etc. I feel your pain, OP.

Same I was stuck waiting for an airplane once for 8 hours because it had broken down on the tarmac of a nearby airport so they had to have one fly in drone somewhere else

Ugh I know how you feel... at least you didn't sit beside an extremely fat guy with gas and infront of a extremely bored and annoying child eh?
