Today, the clock in the study lounge was off, so I was half-an-hour late to class. I was too embarrassed to walk in late, so I sat for the next half-hour with my ear against the door trying to hear the lecture. People stopped to ask if there was something wrong with me. Yeah, probably. FML

And that wasn't too embarrassing? Just go into the lecture next time...

Don't worry, it's normal. I also did that once.

When I started my new school year, I pumped myself up promising to turn over a new leaf and be more outgoing. I ended up skipping a class for a week and a half because two teachers started talking and separated the class and I didn't hear who I was supposed to go with and I got too worried that I would go with the wrong person and I just sat down where I was standing like a moron. You're not alone. Plus side, that's how I met my best friend.

I understand it, OP. I suffer from Social Anxiety and simple tasks are terrifying to do, even simply walking in to class late or ordering food at McDonald's. I hope it gets better for you ! ^_^

Not a good idea. You would have been better off going in and appearing to be half an hour late then appearing to miss the entire lecture. YDI.

I've done this, too. Hopefully you were able to hear everything adequately!

What did you say to the people who stopped to ask what you were doing??

Do you have zero sense of time??? You should’ve known something was up after a few minutes of the clock not working…
