YDI for not having married him already, for not having a joint bank account so you would have the money for the apartment and also for not having a job to support your ass. My brother is in the military his wife thought she could sit on her fat ass all day spend his money she got a wake up call
unless something changed from when I was in the Corps, he can have all or a portion of the rent taken out of his check and sent to the landlord/realtor. good luck to you, military life is rough, and even more so for the spouse.
Your fiancé is going to war, and all you care about is having to move back in with your parents?
What's so bad about moving back in with your parents?I had to while my husband was deployed.Suck it up,sister. This is the life of a military spouse, and you knew what you were getting into when you got with him.If that was before he enlisted, then you knew what you were getting into when he enlisted.Soooo STFU and support him since he's the one going to a warzone.I'm a damn proud USMC wife, shit gets hard, you suck it up & keep pushing forward.
The army pays rent...adds the ammount to the check. So he gets deployment pay active pay hazard pay pending on his MOS and rent and so on. He can have rent all added to his check if his name is on the leas. Just have to have the management print it out and all that. Tell him to talk to his comander.
Btw I am in the army spent 2 and a half years active and am now in the reserve :D so that's what I know. Also he prob wont be sbot at. Now-a-day its not so much being shot at but IEDs and pending on the part (mostly near the mountains on the boarder) there may not be any. Just fyi :) good luck!

it has nothing to do with marriage, he lives there too, the army is obligated to pay for a persons rent, if shes losing her home so is he. she'll need to pay for food still, but the army will be paying for the rent and utility's.
Im in the army, and the only way she would get his BAH is if he's married to her. If he's not on active duty to begin with he may only get it for the time hes overseas. But they would have to get married, then he has to file for BAH (pain inthe ass sometimes.. still waiting for mine 5months later) and then he has to provide the BAH to her once hes overseas not to mention he has to have a power of attorny overseas like that to begin with to get anything done in the states.
Why bother getting married? You're probably just going to "get lonely" and cheat on him while he's overseas anyway...
Way to generalize. Though, to be fair, the OP does seem like that type.

when you're an "army wife," minor/major setbacks is what you will have to deal with. It wont be easy.
