YDI for three reasons: 1) You dumped your girlfriend for a BAND? Seriously? That's a ridiculous reason to end a relationship. 2) You clearly had no backup plan. Musicians have a very, very small chance of making it and you absolutely need a backup plan. Just because you've heard of a certain band or musician who risked it all and ended up becoming super successful does not mean you will. 3) How often did you practise if you can "barely remember how to play guitar"? If you're going to chase a career with a low success rate then you need to get serious and work your ass off! You should have been practising or working with your band or trying to organise gigs whenever you had the chance. The fact that you barely remember how to play guitar is a telling sign that you weren't as serious about it as you should have been.
