Today, the grades for one of my courses were released. The class average was higher than that which the department allowed, so the professor had to scale everyone's marks down to meet the policy. I ended up failing because my class was too smart. FML

Are they even allowed to do that?

"My class was too smart" is a fancy way of saying "I was too stupid"

They don't allow the class to have a high average? That doesn't make sense

That means that you were already at the bottom of your class if he failed you. They're not going to take a student from the average/top of the class and fail them.

this is actually quite common in law schools

a nice trip to the deans office is in order

Grades WERE released. Grade WAS released. Don't criticise people when you're a retard yourself.

can you read? that's what they said in the first place.

They was replying to someone else's comment, they just didn't hit the reply button.

My guess is your professor graded on a curve. You originally passed because everyone got low grades. Then the department told your professor that he marked the grades up too high. So he then lowered the grades.

they can't do that you failed the class because your stupid simple as that they want people to have I marks there's no policy that they class average has to e a certain amount that's just ******* retarded

Ever heard of a learning curve. Retard.

these damn schools claim they are great when in fact they deal with averages. For example, certain schools are hard to get into, but once you get into them, you rarely fail out bc the grades are based on curves.
