Today, I finished hauling all of my possessions from another state, because I was supposed to move in with my girlfriend. I was just waiting to find a job. Almost as soon as my stuff was delivered, she broke up with me and told me to figure out getting it all back by myself. FML

Today, I decided to break up with my girlfriend after I got home and realised I was happier sat in my car on the street than I would be if I went inside and had to put up with her whining and her two spoiled daughters for even one more day. So now I’m happy, but also homeless. FML

Today, I met with my realtor to close on a house for my boyfriend and me. While waiting for my boyfriend, I got a text message from him saying he was breaking up with me. I had already signed the papers on our house. Now I'm responsible for a mortgage that I can only afford with his help. FML

Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML

What prudes. Are you all 13 year olds who live with your parents? Why should they have to get married in order to make a relationship work? Why shouldn't both parties just be adults and recognize that they should either work on things or... oh, I don't know, she lets him stay with her for a few weeks until he gets a place? While I realize that's not the best option, it's better than thousands of dollars on divorce when they realize they're not compatible after all. Living together changes your perception of someone. Sometimes it does a total 360. Marriage isn't the magical answer to relationship problems and divorce is harder and much more expensive than breaking up. Perhaps that's a good thing-- until you're several thousand dollars in debt because you didn't want to try being adults and working things out without a silly piece of paper. Maybe none of you have ever been in debt (perhaps some have), but I'm in debt due to student loans and even when you know you don't have to pay it back for a few years, it weighs on you every day. And thus, I've outed myself as an anti-marriage misanthrope...

I completely agree with you, there are several levels of compatibility involved in a relationship and living together is one of them and best to find out before marriage.
