Today, to settle a bet with a friend, I took an online IQ test twice. The first time, I chose answers at random without reading the questions. The second time, I took it for real. I got a higher score from the random selections than from my serious attempt. FML

Those online tests usually aren't too accurate, so don't dwell on it OP

But the question is, what was your score?

For real? Did a clinical psychologist give it to you? Online iq tests not official. I have take the real test at a psych's office and it took a few hours. I received the 3 different scores (verbal, quant, working memory) a few weeks later.

And exactly what was the bet? And who won?

Both FYL and YDI for thinking that IQ tests are even important

Which means, subconsciously, you are a genius!

IQ tests are timed, and the ones online rarely operate properly as measures of anything. You should probably try to limit your time online, you don't seem to understand the basics of the Internet.

Those tests take into consideration time for your score, you probably went very fast randomly choosing answers and much slower actually reading

Don't feel bad, it would probably happen to me too honestly...

Sounds like the time it takes to answer was weighted heavily in that test. The quick, thoughtless answers looked good because they were quick.
