I'm sorry that happened to you OP. my grandmother had Alzheimer's and after my grandfather died she forgot she was ever married. It's really sad when things like that happen.

I feel very bad that your grandmothers mind is slipping away. A victim of dementia is a very sad scene. I cannot imagine how I would feel knowing the thing I treasure most, my mind, is leaving me. While I can see that it wasn't pleasant time telling her that her child had died it is a minor thing compared to her issue.
I know how you feel. My grandmothers sister died and she has Alzheimer's.
