Today, while buying paint, I began to help an elderly woman working to lift some heavy boxes. She told me what a nice young lady I was. Then her boss came over, screamed at her for being lazy and fired her. She cried. So did I. FML

"Elderly" can mean a lot of things. She could have been 50 or 60 years old, which still would have been young enough to be employed. ^^

Um, do you know much about the economy in eastern Canada? It is shit. There are no jobs, and several mills in Nova Scotia just shit down putting about 2500 people out of work. Many of them declared bankruptcy which meant that some pensions were lost. That lady could have been forced to go back to work, or had to keep working in order to make up for lost income. I lived in Nova Scotia until I was 24, then hit the road. The economy is awful. However, not everyone can leave, especially the older folks. A lot more seniors are working and many people are retiring later than they used to there.

But it's not a way around the fact that she could be severely injured doing what he assigned. As you get older, your bones become frail. It is a simple fact of life. Because of this fact she can sue for unsafe work environments.

Random bit of info... Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla to a gallon of paint and the room will smell amazing after painting! There are no effects to the paint color either :)
