Today, while I was walking home, I noticed an elderly man in a wheel chair trying to paint his garage so I went over to help. His response was verbal abuse and a slap to the face with a wet paint brush. FML

It wasn't his garage wall, it was his friends. Give him some slack, he's just getting into Facebook and took the whole 'writing on your wall' to heart.

I would have dumped the can on his head and sent him rolling onto the street.

every "lol" as the first comment should be automatically thumbs downed...what a waste of valuable first comment space

At least claim your first, if "lol" is all you have to say

how do you guys not know that this person wouldn't have commented "lol" if they saw that they were even going to be the 82nd comment or so? don't be too quick to judge.

Color your life some more, that's the lesson

Didn't we go over this before when the woman tried to help the old man and he stole her money? YOU DONT HELP PEOPLE ANYONE NOT IN THIS WORLD!!! You can't trust ANYONE!!!

Especially when they have something wet...

Some people take great offense to people asking them if they need help.

it's offensive to some people when you underestimate their ability to fend for themselves. In reality, old ladies don't want help across the street.

It is offence to people in a wheel chair anyone see the tv show LOST? John Locke woulda whooped ur ass for tryim to help him lol

sucks. fyl but you didn't need to help so :|

You would have to have played one of the Assassin's Creed video games.

29-yes and also half of it is cut off and it says half of caution and cut off assassins at the bottom :p

Yeah, maybe to an old man in a wheelchair he feels like he has to prove that he can do things just as well as any other person. So by asking if he needed help, you were suggesting that he is incapable of performing tasks like that, so he was insulted. You were only trying to do a kind thing though OP, sucks.

YDI for thinking he can't be independent.

depends on how you do it. if you see you could be helpful, you may go and offer your support if needed and wanted. if you go there and degrade him by taking a task he is doing well out of his hands you deserve some abusing.

I agree with 5 , if you don't know him don't offer to paint his house? it seems kind of patronising...

i agree, did it look like he was struggling? no? did he look distressed? no? then dont bother him...
