I personally understand your annoyance - sometimes it just gets annoying to hear someone else yapping, looking away, laughing and whatever, while they're holding a flat iron that could potentially burn your skin. Even if they wouldn't, they're not looking out for your anxiety. Now, grabbing the iron and saying "LEMME DO IT MYSELF" was a bit over the edge, but your ear said enough "YDI", so I'm just going pure "Your life is ******".

If you thought you could do it then why did you even go to her in the first place? You PAY her to do your hair. Don't act like such a bitch and maybe you won't get hurt. (My sister's a hairdresser, and she comes home agitated all the time because of bratty customers who think they know hair better than people who've gone through years of beauty school. It ticks me off too.) Let them do their job, and you do yours by just taking it all in. If you were worried about her not even paying attention, why not just talk with her while getting your hair done? Then you'll get all the attention you "need".
