Cocker spaniel's fur are sometimes difficult to maintain. It'll grow back soon enough. Sorry your dog most likely looks like a freak 'til then.

I honestly don't see how this is a FML. If he killed your dog, then yes. Hair grows back, and now it won't shed for a while. So shit in your hat and get over it.

It's ok. My cocker spaniel loves it when he gets a hair cut. We shave him in the spring and as needed through the summer. We let it grow long during winter. Poor thing looks like an over used dust mop right now. The cocker spaniel I had as a kid my mon cut her hair with scissors once and even the dog knew she looked awful. She wouldn't come out of hiding for weeks.
