Sweetie, you're assuming he meant "I really like your eyes because they help your face, which is otherwise hideous." But that's not what he said. He probably meant "I really like your eyes, they really help make make your face the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Sure, he bungled the words, but this is not an FML. Cut him some slack if he really likes you. Maybe your looks have simply rendered him unable to form coherent sentences ;)

ya know, I'm sick of all these emo FMLs... I mean seriously how is your BF or GF bungling a compliment or insulting you make your life F'd? Speaking as someone who has been married for years I can't even tell you the amount of times I have been insulted (sometimes on purpose!) by my spouse! People are not going to be 100% graceful with words 100% of the time. Get thicker skin or spend your entire life feelings sad and getting your feelings hurt!
