Today, while on vacation, my parents called to inform me that my best friend had died in a car accident. Why? To trick me into tearfully confessing my love for him. It worked. FML

well it's a way. not a good one, but still

I don't go around calling people out, but I believe I've read this exact FML before a while back. I could be mistaken, but...

Hmm revenge for parents. Okay try this. Each step continues when you start the next one. Week 1 claim to be having nightmares. Say that you keep having bad dreams where people you love die. Week 2 become quieter and more withdrawn around your parents. Week 3 start becoming needy, call them a couple of times a day "just to check they are ok because you had a bad feeling". Week 4 start treating everything your parents say and do with distrust. Eg "We are going to visit grandma" "where are we really going?" Then follow the line of questioning completely calmly while they try to convince you they are telling the truth. "I made you a tuna sandwich" lift the top and carefully look at the contents before eating. when they, finally ask you why you are acting this way tell them you "don't feel like you can trust them anymore. Even when I go to school and you say you'll be here when I get home part of me is thinking that you won't be because I just can't believe what you say anymore." Drop steps 4 3 2 and 1 in that order over four weeks once they acknowledge that what they did to you was wrong. They won't pull that crap again.

Hopefully this story ends up having a happy ending.

This makes me feel physically sick. There are parenting fails and then there's... this.

Damn I hope my parents never do that...
