Ok first off, I do shave armpits and legs and etc, so this isn't coming from a hippie naturalist standpoint, but OMG. The hate that women have for their bodies is insane! I don't enjoy the look or feel of having hair, so I remove it. But the "disgusting" and "ill groomed" comments are just kinda creeping me out. Most people grow hair, get over it. Most people sweat too, amazingly. As far as " you should shave every time you shower" and "do it every day" goes, only some people can do that. I know a bunch who can, but I can't because of insanely sensitive skin. Comments like that, even though I was careful not to wear tank tops or shorts, caused me to try to do it anyway in high school, and as a result my skin is covered in scars now. Sadly, it sounds like feminine "standards" have gotten even more strict since then. My point is, why be cruel, keep your own standards and leave others alone. On a lighter note, I am going to make myself feel old but here goes: am I the ONLY one who remembers this ? http://www.exposay.com/celebrity-photos2/julia-roberts-shocks-with-hairy-pits-and-old-dress-R1g.jpg Julia Roberts. Lots of pit hair. The story I remember her telling is that she forgot, but some of them say it was on purpose. Either way, apparently she forgot when she put on that dress. Does that make you feel better, OP? I mean, pics that embarrass you on facebook are bad enough, but um, I think ol' Juliia wins.
if you're really that embarrassed by them remove your tag in them or something, but honestly it is VERY far from screwing over your life most people who seem them will probably laugh a bit but not even something you'll have to live down
thats horrible loool. id die if that were me ;P
I don't grow pit-hair long enough to be seen in photos for at least five days, and I have dark hair and pale skin. That's not just one shower where you forgot to shave, that's four or more. I personally don't care that much because in my opinion, anyone who would judge me for letting some natural hair grow a little is a shallow loser and can go to hell. But you do seem to care, so YDI.
I was in the hospital for 8 days this summer and could barely shower, let alone shave my pits and my hair was still not long enough to be noticeable unless you had your nose almost touching my pit. BUT... I also have reddish-blonde arm-pit hair, so it's pretty light. If you didn't notice while you were dressing, chances are you just think it was worse than it really was. No biggie.
i agree with 71. not about the first part about being pale, but the 4 or more showers of not shavin ydi
that is fucken gross
Zomg... Fake. If ur a guy tht wuldnt matter. Since ur a chick u shuldnt let them get THAT hairy. What do u do-let a mammoth give birth under there?? YDI for lying

YDI for having armpits. A normal human being doesn't have armpits.
Embarrassing, yes, but hairy pits at drunken parties posted on Facebook seem to be the new fad. Either that, or all the girls I went to school with are sleazy dirty ******. All levity aside, OP, it happens to the best of us sometimes. No big deal. I'm sure if you didn't look good in those pictures, they wouldn't have been put up anyway. If they bother you that much, ask the poster to take them down...or at least give you a chance to photoshop the shit out of them. =]
