Today, while waiting for a doctors appointment, my husband started playing angry birds. Continually losing the game ended up raising his blood pressure to the point where he now has to have his medication changed. The new medication is $100 copay. FML

Warning: angry birds may cause elevations in blood pressure and a hatred for pigs

So an hour or two of intense frustration raises the blood pressure level permanently? The human body is even more ****** up than I thought...either that, or you need a new doctor, because many medications can be dangerous if the condition is misdiagnosed.

Hey, it's called Angry Birds for a reason. I'm just kidding. Your life sucks, your husband shouldn't get upset over a game of Angry Birds, I mean come on how could you freak out over a game like that. Well, with what happens around this crazy world I wouldn't be very surprised. FYL! I'm sorry you have to deal with the health system and your husbands' blood pressure rising over an app/game.

Angry birds is a serious deal. That game is so addicting and drives you insane, hence the name ANGRY birds.

Download Robot Unicorn Attack for him, it's relaxing and all his dreams will come true. *nods*

Or Go Right: Championship Edition! That game could lower the blood pressure of a Charlie Sheen drunk on bull shark testosterone!

28 and 32- you ******* homos are douchebags, too.

@OP, talk to the doctor to change the medication. Also, $100 co-pays are not typical for blood pressure meds unless it's a 'sartan' drug and even then they're normally $50. A single pill over a 30 day supply can often charge a patient a double co-pay and a lot of pharmacy techs and pharmacists miss that when doing the claim on the medication. Don't fret though. There's alternatives to everything out there and I strongly suggest that you either talk to the doctor to recheck the blood pressure or talk to the pharmacist about them calling the doctor for different meds. I'm not a pharmacist. I just wish I had their paycheck $_$

this person is right unless you got a 90 day supply the 100$ I could understand. but even so, if your bp is heightened from immense stresses, or nervousness, he should have told your doctor the reason why, and they should have waited. maybe try buying a home bp monitor.

I agree. The co pay would be really high for only a 30 day supply. Also it may be something the doctor can change, there are a lot of different meds available. You may want to try changing his diet also, it can impact your B/P. Also if he doesn't already exercise start going for walks together or something. Having the home monitor was a great suggestion! Try taking his B/P at different times of the day. Good luck OP
