Today, while walking through Wal-Mart I noticed a cute employee. With a sudden burst of confidence, I walked right up to him, intending to ask for his number. Instead, I looked him in the eye and said, "Excuse me sir, how much do you know about bedsheets?" and then ran. FML

Even in the heat of the moment how did you manage to say that?

Well did he take you to the bedsheets? ;)

Yes I know quite a lot about bed sheets. I've been under so many I could tell you the best quality kind in my opinion. And maybe even you and I could test them out!

Don't worry, I'm sure he knew exactly what you were getting at with the old "bedsheet knowledge" pick-up line haha

Hey at least you didn't say anything more embarrassing.

Tripping at the finish line always hurts, Op. But I commend your efforts to make the first, bold move! ;) Now if you only stuck around instead of running and played it cool, you could have found out both his number, and his extensive knowledge on 400 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets! Oi! ;D

Walmart is known for their sketchy shoppers. I'm sure he's dealt with stranger incidents!

Should have ran with it. I have heard much, MUCH worse.

I think you mean stuck with it. OP already ran.

That's hilarious! Sounds a bit like Sheldon Cooper.

That sounds nothing like Sheldon Cooper.

Nah, Howard Wolowitz would have said, "Excuse, me ma'am, how much do you know about bed sheets?" Then when she assisted him with picking out a set, he would say, "You know, how about we go to my place and test these out, after I let you test out the Mars rover. I'm an engineer for NASA, you know." What OP did sounds more like something Leonard (I'm not even going to attempt to spell his last name) would do.

I would've thought that was cute if I was him but you were lucky : I would've spoke in gibberish
