There are several things you can do about this: 1. Punch the bitch in the throat when you see her next. 2. Cause her unnecessary aggravation at work (without getting in trouble of course). 3. Post a craigslist ad with her number as the contact forcing her to deal with excessive amounts of calls. This is one of my favorites as it really stresses people out. 4. Ask her Hypothetical questions ALL THE TIME. That gets really annoying too. and finally 5. Casually mention you might have a severe medical issue but won't know until you can get to the specialist who isn't available for 6 months.
They can't make you stay, and if you told her "no I'm leaving" she can't fire you over it either
You should have made sure you were clear about the appointment by reminding her a week, then a day before, as well as during the day. I would have clocked out and left, even if you had to close the store. She should have been in the building as puppies are not really going anywhere. If it were her first grandchild or her niece being born, then it would be understandable. However, sometimes we don't get what we want and you should not have agreed to stay especially when you had something so important to do.
Wow I would've totally told her to **** off
Luckily I was able to reschedule the appointment for early next week! I was still well and truly pissed, but I can't afford to say no and lose my job. The puppies better have been ******* adorable.
Usually, unless you are salaried, you are not obligated to stay past your "scheduled" hours. You are supposed to be given the option to stay, but can't be held accountable if you say no.
People r obsessed with dogs now a days

You aren't obliged to stay after hours, especially if you have something else on.
The bitch had to go home and see her bitch.
