Unwarranted bitchiness

By lois2lane - 23/12/2009 07:15 - United States

Today, a car was tailgating and honking at me while trying to pass me, so I decided to be a bitch back and go extremely slow. We got to a two lane road and the car passed me up. The man in the front seat flipped me off while pointing to his wife in the back seat who was clearly in labor. FML

that's your fault. you should never do that anyways.

Disagreed. How the hell was the OP supposed to know there was a woman giving LABOR in the backseat? Honestly, would you have pulled over, because I sure wouldn't have. 99.9% of the time, the tailgater is just being an asshole and just *can't stand* going the speed limit. This is one of the rare [and I mean RARE] times that they had a legitimate reason for being an ass. The OP was not a terrible person for going slower, just human. If you're going to say that, shouldn't you also say that the driver was a terrible person because he really did jeopardize the woman and her baby by taking his eyes off the rode and twisting around to point in the backseat? Besides, honestly the driver should've passed earlier if he was on his way to the hospital, instead of trying to tailgate the person. It takes literally one second to do so.

WHY MUST DRIVERS BEHAVE THIS WAY??? Just because you're in a car doesn't mean you have a license to be a jerk. Grow up a little.

yeah dont feel bad about that he passed you didnt he?

Slowing down just makes it easier for him to pass. Its not your fault he picks and chooses which driving laws he's going to break when he drives like an idiot.

Agreed. And it is unlikely that his speeding would get him there much faster anyway.

hahaha oh man, i was on "moderate" the fmls, and came across this same one except from the driver's point of view. guess he felt like it was an fmylife moment too

**** all the idiots saying YDI, OP. I would have done the same damn thing. The ONLY time I pull over for some dickweed tailgating me is if they have their hazards flashing. Those signal that it's an -emergency-, and then I'm more than happy to pull aside. But if they're just riding my ass and honking their horn? As far as I'm concerned, they're just some asshole who can't be bothered to drive the speed limit, and they can go **** themselves. You're not at fault here, asshole should've had his hazards on to signal that it was an actual emergency.

yesh, every ******* car has hazards just incase they have an emergency... DUHH!

Uh, hazard lights are called that because they indicate your vehicle is a hazard on the side of the road, or a slow moving hazard, they are not the same as emergency lights and do not give you the right to drive as if you were an emergency vehicle.

I say the thing about the hazards because we had to rush my cousin to the hospital once when she got stung by a bee and started swelling up and couldn't breathe, so we were taking her to the hospital and speeding, honking, etc. Cop pulled up behind us , flashing his lights, and my aunt pulled over and explained to the cop what was happening. Thank god he had an epi-pen, it saved my cousin's life and then he escorted us to the hospital, but he also told us that if something like that happens, a medical emergency where you're trying to get to a hospital, you need to have your hazard lights on. You still shouldn't -speed-, he said, but if you're in a serious emergency and need to get there ASAP, he said hazards are a must.

If someone drives behind me like that, I pull over. To all you guys trying to be mr. right. wouldn't it be safer to just let the guys pass? **** proving a point. your prolly a ****** hypocrite anyways. you've prolly done some retarded shit while driving. fags.

This isn't really an FML, this is an "I'm a stupid bitch, give me sympathy." Just because other people appear to be acting like ass-holes, doesn't mean you should sink to their level.

I feel sorry for the woman in labor. If she were that far along, then her husband should have called an ambulance. He's not only putting his wife's and child's lives in danger, he's endangering himself and others on the road. Still if I were the OP, I would have just pulled over. It's not worth getting in an accident. My mantra when driving is FIDO -- forget it, drive on. Saves my sanity!

You deserved it for deciding to "be a bitch". You want to act like one, you get treated like one. Next time, be a nice person and move the Hell out of the way. If they get a speeding ticket, that's THEIR fault.
