Today, I stepped outside my office building for a smoke break and I witnessed a mugging so I ran over to stop it. I succeeded in getting mugged instead of the original target. I then couldn't get into my building until a coworker left an hour later. My boss was mad and still doesn't believe me. FML

Today, I was mugged. I saw a cop car in the aftermath and flagged it down. Unfortunately, when the cops stopped the mugger, he said he'd been running away because I tried to mug him. Apparently the fact that he was "well-dressed" and I wasn't means he was telling the truth. FML

Today, someone tried to mug me. I panicked and ran. As they chased me with their knife out, I heard a slip and a shout behind me but kept running. Six blocks later I was spotted, arrested, and held for questioning by the police. The mugger fell, stabbed themselves, and told a cop that I did it. FML

Today, a customer at work became violent and started hitting me and my coworker. Not wanting him to get the shit beat out of us, I used a move that pinned the guy on the ground. The police came and he was arrested. I was then fired for assaulting a customer. FML

Today, as I was driving to work, I got a flat tire. While attempting to replace said tire, I got mugged. The guy took all my money, my iPod, cellphone, and CDs. When I finally called my boss to explain my situation, he fired me. Why? Because I was late and had an "overactive imagination." FML

How about you people look what he did good!! Half of you are sitting here ranting on about smoking. Get over it!! Everyone that smokes knows its not good for them but they do it anyways. It his life, let him be! He helped someone else when they were being mugged. He risked his life to help a fellow citizen. I know I wouldn't do it. And I know a majority of us on here wouldn't either. OP Its sucks your boss won't believe you. Depending how long ago it was, you can still make a police report.

1. Smokers are nasty. 2. How did you plan on getting back into the building in the first place. The mugging had nothing to do with you not being at your job for an hour.

The mugger probably stole his keys. OP probably needed one of his keys to be able to get back into his office. He then had to wait for his coworker to arrive to open the door for him with, you guessed it, a key. Also he couldn't call anyone inside, unless he memorized their phone numbers, because his phone probably got stolen too.

@notquite69 - How are "smokers" nasty? That's a ridiculous assumption. Sure, the "habit of smoking" is nasty, but labeling a person as generally nasty because of a bad habit is ignorant.

@mzbooty - That was completely unnecessary. Not to mention, you're the last person to be criticizing someone else's profile picture. Having a picture of someone else's ass as your profile picture isn't exactly the most appropriate profile picture either.
