Weird customer of the day

Today, a customer limped over to me in one of the dishwasher aisles and asked if we sold dishwashers. I said yes and pointed at all the dishwashers. He looked around for a couple of seconds, belched, then said "Oh... right!" and walked off. No commission for me, then. FML

"Yes, in fact we do. What kind of model were you looking for? We have *list various models and what differentiates them*." If I wanted to look for myself I'd shop at a discount shop where I don't pay for service and know not to expect it.

#27 I thought the incorrectly spelled words were on purpose because it kinda sounds like how a redneck would say it (I don't know for sure if that was their intention) but that's how I read it

Getting customers who aren't actually interested in buying is typical. If not getting a sale from a weird customer is FML-inducing, you need a different job immediately. I mean, you didn't even do your job as you merely pointed. I hope we don't see more posts from you. "Hey, one guy looked at me funny! FML! LOL"

Uh, that was your cue to engage him in conversation and try to sell him a dishwasher. Sounds like you're not cut out for commission-based sales.

If you want commission maybe try more than just pointing, budget and lifestyle questions so you can recommend the best dishwasher for him and possibly cross sell an additional product. I work in sales and if I can't get commission I don't blame customers.
