Does it work the other way round too? if her laptop dies is she going to cremate it and rub it over her body?
I'll agree that technology is important, but it's still just a tool. I can't imagine anyone wanting their ashes spread onto a set of wrenches or into a chainsaw or something. Your kid needs some better perspective on life.

Her ashes/flakes are already spread all over her laptop. Just turn it upside down and see. :/
It's rather worrying that she doesn't realize (1) by the time she dies, laptops probably won't even be a thing any more, and (2) unless she dies young, telling you is pointless.
